ok i told myself i would quote the next song that came on my winamp so here's the quote i like best from the next song that played, total eclipse of the heart
"every now and then i get a little bit lonely and you're never coming around
every now and then i get a little bit tired of listening to the sound of my tears
every now and then i get a little bit nervous that the best of all the years have gone by....
every now and then i fall apart"
this is what i love and hate about pop songs. they write these songs specifically to appeal to a mass audience (like mainstream movies, they are meant to attract a cross section of the public, not just a specific part of it) so they try and write em so that you can relate. i hate that part, but i love when i listen to a song and i feel it, and i know how that feels, and i somehow feel understood. but i hate that its not just for me that everyone else can feel that too, it makes it less meaningful, you know?
do you ever wonder if the best of all the years has gone by? doesn't that thought scare you? i mean there's still good times ahead, but will they be as good as those that have come before?
and now for random thoughts:
-my new toothbrush is amazing, it feels like its massaging my teeth
-i hate that ive never fallen in love, i hate that im scared to fall in love, and that i worry i will never have the chance to fall in love, and i hate that i worry about it
-i hate comcast for being a rip off and monopolizing the cable in berkeley. not fair.
