Everything in the universe has rhythm. Everything dances. - Maya Angelou

ok i know lately this blog has been a cop-out. instead of writing about real things in my life and feelings and such, i have been posting celeb gossip or shallow things in my life like what movies i recently watched on netflix. that was not the original point of having a blog. then again sometimes you can say too much and make people angry. but should i let what others think dictate MY blog? well yes and no. i want to be respectful to those who i respect even if we have differing opinions. but still, i will make an effort to post more serious or more "real" for lack of a better word things in my life.

- I hate when people make fun of me for recycling or don't put in the minimal effort it takes to recycle. I worry about the world 50 years from now. I genuinely worry and freak out about how things will be. Our society is so wasteful and not all resources are unlimited. Trees do not grow back overnight. Clean water is not unlimited, even if we seem to think so. An ex-friend of mine used to brag that her parents paid the recycle truck not to stop by their house. Is that really something to brag about? A word my roomie has discussed on her blog, convenience, sums it up. If it is convenient then we will do it. Recycling is not convenient all the time (like at school there are trash cans only inside the classrooms but recycle bins in the halls and the cafeteria, yet the trash cans are full of soda and water plastic bottles and aluminum cans), so because its not always the easiest thing to do, people don't. It bothers me, but I can't tell other people how to live their lives. The only thing I can really say is think about the future, your future kids, grandkids, etc. Most of us will still be alive and kicking in 50 years and what will the world be like then? At the very least don't mock me for it. I'm not saying recycle everything , because I can't even make that claim, but when there's a recycle bin two feet from the trash can, I don't see why that bottle ends up in the trash.

- the days i am the saddest are those were human contact is at a minimum and around finals time this happens a lot. all i do is sit in my living room and study. or at the most go to dunkin and get coffee. on days when my roomies are gone its just me and my thoughts and that is never good. parts of me have always been independent but other parts seem like they will always be dependent. last night was the first night in awhile i have been home alone and i admit i was a bit freaked out. i walked into the bathroom and the shower curtain was swaying and i got spooked. this morning i realized that when you open the bathroom door the curtain sways.

ok perhaps more later. i can't remember if ive already discussed the above in this blog, but its whats on my mind now so im talking about it again. also a shout out to my ladies who are making big life changes, you know who you are, i hope everything goes well and if you need my help/advice/hand to hold i'm here for you.
