The lessons I learned from Memoirs of a Geisha:

- Women are crazy!
- Women are scheming and backstabbing!
- Women cannot be trusted!

Every woman in that movie, her mode of survival was to play mind games with or to set-up the other women. In the movie if you didn't do this you wouldn't make it. Other than that, the movie was beautiful, the costumes, landscapes, even the color scheme of every scene was amazing. The director of Chicago directed this, so you know he has a knack for that stuff.
