sad thoughts
so i was at starbucks studying and there was this car accident about fifteen feet away from my table. a van had hit a motorcycle. its not the first accident ive ever seen, in fact i didnt even see it actually happen, i just saw the guy fly from the motorcycle and heard all the noise. for some reason it really freaked me out. like that whole "he was at the wrong place at the wrong time" kinda idea popped into my head, but is it as simple as that? and how can i, if at all, ever avoid being at the wrong place at the wrong time? and why did i have to be at that starbucks at that time? why didn't i sit upstairs instead of sitting downstairs right next to the windows and front door?
all those crazy semi-deep thoughts were running through my head. about a minute before the accident i was thinking about the 10 pounds i want to lose, the makeup i just bought, and the homework i was working on. and at that minute those things were the most significant things in my head, then just one minute later i began to feel guilty for those thoughts, like there's more important things to worry about and that i need to get over myself and start really dealing with life.
