made it to new orleans. the trip was great. 22 hour drive, did most of it the first day. took 2 days altogether. stopped in atlanta for a night, met up with alex a friend from my summer in england. he is at emory getting his phd in neuroscience. so when he is done with his qualifying exams and i get some money i'd like to go back to atlanta. seems like there is a lot of stuff to do there. so far new orleans has been nice. very hot but not too crazy. i might start volunteering to build houses for a bit, a place i had contacted does not need anyone for 2 weeks so i guess i can take it easy for 2 weeks then build some houses then start my law job, which will be indoors with air conditioning. :)
