i am so lucky to have such great friends and family. my three high school friends flying out from california on their own volition just to see me graduate was just so sweet. so thursday night it was just me and jennifer that got to new york. julia and michelle arrived early friday morning. so thursday night we just hung out in the neighborhood got jennifer some new york pizza and went to a local hang out spot. just got to sit and talk which was nice. then friday everyone else arrived and we headed from astoria to midtown where we had a hotel room for the night. we went shopping all day at 34th street then to see sex and the city the movie. it was better than i had thought, i think just the environment was fun. everyone was there with a group of friends like us and everyone was a fan. after that we changed then went to dip, this fondue spot i love. they not only have fondue but also anything you can dip, chicken fingers, spring rolls, and other random things. then off to joshua tree to dance. that was fun for awhile but then too many gross dudes showed up so we left, went to another bar down the street just to sit and chill
next day we went to soho for some shopping then back to queens for the mets game. we took it easy saturday night and hung out at the apartment. sunday was a whirlwind. graduation was really nice, as much as i bitched about not wanting to go, i'm really glad i went. sheebani lent me a dress which was so pretty. my dad told me it looked so good on me that i should tell sheebani i'm keeping it. when it was my turn to be hooded, i did this cute thing which i call the champ cheer, i interlocked my fingers and then shook it in the air on the right then the left. everyone thought it was cute. then we all went out to an italian place for dinner. at the graduation and dinner were: dad, aunt (dad's sister), dad's first cousin, grandma (mom's mom), then 4 of my mom's cousins, plus my friends. everyone got along great and we all had an amazing time. then my friends and i went out to the beer garden and some local bars in queens.
just got back to new orleans now. it's nice to know i have so much support and love from my friends and family. i just hope when they have graduations/birthdays/weddings/happy occasions that i can be there for them! now back to bar study and finding a job! although, i will say i have a few job prospects, just don't want to share more until it's more certain. but at least things are moving in the right direction!
