survived my first hurricane evacuation. we went to atlanta. what is usually a 6 hour drive took 15 hours. apparently we were some of the lucky ones because others took much longer. chrissy's parents took 23 hours to get to montgomery which is usually a 4 hour drive. ours wasn't as long because we left at 1:30 a.m. and drove through the night. atlanta was fun once we saw that gustav was not going to hit new orleans, then we could really enjoy ourselves. did a lot of shopping, hung out with my friends and relaxed. atlanta is a nice city, i wouldn't mind living there. chrissy and i had vacationed to atlanta labor day weekend last year and this year we went there for evacuation so it looks like we just may make atlanta labor day weekend an annual thing. i am glad to be back though. nothing beats home.
