i spent the weekend in portland, oregon. its definitely a different world than i'm used to living in.

1) no sales tax which is sweet. so when i bought two shirts at the gap that were 2/20 dollars, i paid exactly twenty dollars.

2) everyone is super friendly. everyone in stores talks to you, but its not fake, they are genuinely friendly, even at fancy stores like Louis V and Tiffany's we were treated nicely.

3) everyone is white. i guess im not used to seeing that many white people, im used to it being the other way around, but it is oregon, i should have expected that.
