I'm so mad at our fucking federal government right now. As if I didn't already have a million reasons to hate Bush, Ms. Katrina had to destroy New Orleans and give me yet another reason to wish a very slow and painful death on the man. Bush knew Katrina was coming. In fact, he had about 2 and a half days notice. Yet he did nothing. Katrina hit and destroyed. And yet he did nothing. It took Coast Guard what, 4-5 days to get down there? In the meantime, thousands of people displaced, starving, dying from diseases, and these are people that could have been saved had our country gotten its shit together faster.

Even now, families are separated, people still need help and they won't let Red Cross workers into the area to help because they feel its still too dangerous for them. So people who are willing and ready to help and face possible disease or whatever to get to the people who need help and they aren't allowed to help.

But seriously, watching CNN makes me cry seeing all these kids who don't know where their parents are or if they are alive or not. People who haven't eaten or had water for days, who have had to see loved ones die. It's just sad that with all the technology and resources at our fingertips that this had to be as bad as it is.
