It's amazing how after our government messes up a national disaster AND THEN they realize, "hey, we should make the head of FEMA our Federal Emergency Management Agency someone with experience in handling emergency situations."
Unlike Mike Brown, who previous to being FEMA's director was an official with the International Arabian Horse Association (yes, that's HORSE Association), the new guy, R. David Paulison is a former firefighter, fire chief, and certified paramedic, and he led FEMA's emergency preparedness force from 2003-2004.
But is this too little too late? The damage has been done, but at least steps are being done to prevent this from happening again...
